My friend is driving one and I was pretty unimpressed with it. The engine is brilliant and the sound of the turbos is cool, but for a luxury crossover SUV breaking a $30k base, I was disappointed in lots of it. The stupid entertainment system is poorly designed, the ride quality is pretty stiff and kind of harsh, it is louder than you'd expect in a luxury car, and the dashboard is made of plastic. The seats were manual and they were unfomfortable. I just don't get this car.

Shameful? Really?? What is truly shameful is you thinking that nothing has changed over the last 60 years in the world. Japanese cars are superior. Bottom line. They are made better and more reliable. And to even further embarass you, a lot of them are made in North America. Keep up the ignorance. The rest of us will enjoy driving this performance SUV while you drive along in your $hitty chrysler. Peace.

lets see, 15-20k more, ugly styling, bad resale, annoying ferrari wanabe exhaust, and pathetic mpg...no thanks.

should have got an fx45. That speaks for itself if you have ever driven one.

Stop living in the past. If Americans made half way decent cars i would be more than happy to shell out money on them.
On the plus side American cars offer great cash back as well as other incentives. BUT THEY SUCK.
Its only now that Ford is making a decent comeback and making safe and reliable cars. But that is NOW. If that holds, then you will see a lot more people being "patriotic" and seeing their money at work.

The only reason that the Japanese assemble some of their vehicles in North America is due to lower tariffs on parts versus finished products, thus the economics and not out of a kind sentiment to provide jobs. Even the Wall Street JOurnal, BusinessWekk, and Economic publications agree that our economy and well being is more reliant upon the Big Three AMERICAN companies. You can get a Lincoln MKX w/ the incentives at the same price and it's nicer. Disgusting that you'd sell-out your own people.
I have an RDX and the thing rocks. There is nothing like SH-AWD. If you are looking to go cheap on gas, this is not your car. If you want to enjoy driving, this is a great choice. The problem with getting a MKX is that at the end of the day you're stuck with a Ford product.

Wow. You have no idea what you are talking about. I have driven both and the RDX is a superior product by far.
