Mikis Theodorakis (Greek: Μίκης Θεοδωράκης) (b. July 29, 1925, Greek island of Chios) is one of the most popular Greek composers. He is particularly well known for his songs and for his scores in the films Zorba the Greek (1964), Z (1969), and Serpico (1973).

Δεν είναι σωστό να ντύνουμε μουσικά μιά ταινία με άλλον συνθέτη....Αυτά είναι πλάνα με μουσική της Καραϊνδρου....Αδικείτε και τους δύο! Και επεμβαίνετε και στο έργο του πρόωρα χαμένου Αγγελόπουλου, που τόση σημασία έδινε στη μουσική των ταινιών του...
