  • Imagine Aliens arriving, their civilization is thousands of years advanced than yours. They kill 10 million of your people. the remainder is forced into a desolate area and the Aliens alter ALL your values and beliefs. Change to their way or DIE! You must learn their language or be punished. You must believe as they do or you are less than human. They kill your family and indoctrinate your children and grandchildren and disgrace your way of life. Congratulations you're an American Indian!

  • Not discriminated against? Been to Pine Ridge lately? Browning? Lame Deer? Fort Apache? Wake up.

  • thank you pbs we nit stuff like this to help us recover some of the lost history that we dont get in our history books in scholl .

  • AWESOME

  • This is a really good documentary. Just watched 'em all on Netflix.

I think people need to move away from the Race aspect of what was happening. The majority white Europeans did not come here with the intention of murdering every nonwhite on the continent. The American peoples didn't grow there, festering a hate for the American Natives for being a different color. This fiery conflict is that of Business. The Europeans took advantage of someone that they perceived as disadvantaged. Not more.

  • @vetsurvivor Very true. But a lot of our civilizations certainly were not a "thousand years behind". They had things we didn't, and vice versa. They simply had weapons that were far more advanced, and diseases, and far more experience in killing and violence, lol. Our world was so isolated; if only we had trade to Asia and Europe, we could've all been speaking Nahuatl instead of English right now.

  • What is it?

  • watch 500 Nations, hosted by Kevin Kosner, great film

  • it's time we need to reuintte
