Widjan (pronounced Wih don) is a lovely 4 year old grey filly who is a Cor de la Bryere grandaughter! Widjan is working 1st level training some second level movements. She is a striking horse that has tremendous breeding (Chaka Khan x Jig Time Jones), fabulous looks, correct conformation, 3 wonderful gaits, and a spunky friendly personality that will win you over immediately! She is always the first horse in the field to greet you. She will walk the length of the field just to come and have you pet her. Widjan is super smart and learns very easily. Widjan will make a lovely hunter/jumper for an amateur or a professional or a very nice lower level dressage horse.
Widjan (sometimes called Wiggles) is currently in professional training and is walk, trot, canter, under saddle and doing very well! She accepts contact beautifully and can perform leg yields as well as turns on the forehand and haunches. She has a laid back attitude that makes her very easy and fun to train and she learns things quickly and willingly. She is the favorite of all who have ridden her. Wiggles has even given lessons to advanced beginner riders!!
Because of her laid back attitude, Wiggles is quite suitable for an amateur rider or a professional looking for an easy horse to bring up the levels. She has been ridden by both professionals, adult amateurs and juniors. She is generally not spooky at all and when she does spook, it is a small startle. Widjan loves trail rides! She is calm and willing to go anywhere. Seldom have I seen a young horse take so many things in stride. A windy day in the outdoor arena is the same as a warm quiet day in the indoor arena. A new trail she has never been on before is just something else for her to look around and enjoy. On the trail we have seen cars, bicycles, construction equipment, flags, dogs, trampolines, children (all of these on her very first trip off the property), hay bales, ponds, you name it! She just strides along as though she has seen it all before. She trailers easily, stands for the farrier, bathes etc.
Widjan is going to be big! At only 4 years of age, she already stands 16.2+ hands high.
Widjan was for sale for $15,000 but has been TEMPORARILY REDDUCED to $12,500 to an approved home only. A recent knee injury has left me with a lot of medical bills and the unfortunate need to sell some horses. My loss is your gain.
