I received my new Squier Jaguar Bass, opened the box, tuned it, and played the bass-line to this song direct from a Vox AmPlug Bass headphone amp into GarageBand while shooting the video live with my Canon S3 IS; that is how well this bass was set up out of the box!!!

This song is titled "Spilt Milk" and is available for download here: http://soundofseventythree.bandcamp.com/ and will also be available on the forthcoming follow-up to the self-titled Sound of Seventy Three debut album which is available now at most online retailers including iTunes, Amazon.com, and eMusic.

Thanks for watching and listening!

  • hi, i`m wondering if that bass, has low action o high action, because the jazz bass vintage modified has the high one... thanks!

  • @missyourbreath Mine cameout of the box with a nice playable action, not particularly low or high. Of course action can be adjusted to your preferences and needs to be every so often to keep an instrument playing how you like it. Hope this helps.

  • Yeah nice set up out of the box....good sound and good jam dude!! Like the song!!

  • @TonyBeazley Thank you. Check out my two albums and other videos as you may enjoy some of my other original music as well. Thanks for watching!

  • GREAT Song, masterfully played with style, grace & passion -- it really shows! Fantastic to see how well you mesh w/ your new bass, right out of the box. Quite a Helluva tribute endorsement. I've heard nothing but good things about these Squire Jags, w/ exception of the Humbucker version which to some people sound overwrought & fuzzy.

Truly, a stellar performance here. ThanX for posting!

  • @starmanskye Thank you my friend!

  • Checking in to see how things are going? I still dig this tune a lot. Anything new on the streets? You have a facebook I can follow on? Look forward to new sounds. Keep up the good work man.

  • @FriendlyShadow1 P-Rails are guitar pickups that have a single coil and P90 together as a humbucker. By splitting the coils you can achieve a lot of different sounds from close to a strat or tele sound to a true P90 sound, to various humbucker sounds. Very versatile pickups. I like using one electric, so these would be perfect for me, all the sounds I need in one guitar.

  • @soundofseventythree Yeah, it's the same. Block inlays, Duncan designed P/J, etc. This may be a newb question, but what are p-rails?

  • @FriendlyShadow1 I will not change them out. I am happy with the Duncan Designed p-ups. I plan to change the pickups in my Reverend Warhawk though. I don't think I like ceramic magnets. I am eventually going to put p-rails in there so I can get a variety of tones out of my beautiful babies! Hope you enjoy yours. Is the sunburst the same configuration as this one? I know at first they just had this one finish but then they came out with several other finishes but also configurations.
