Imatinib, a drug used to treat CML ( chronic myeloid leukemia ). It is currently marketed by Novartis as Gleevec/Glivec , that acts by inhibiting particular tyrosine kinase enzymes,Thus like Cruise missile directed specifically to act on cancer cells instead of working on all the body cells .
Dr Brian J. Druker led many of the key clinical trials confirming the efficacy of imatinib in CML ..

In me have found out a sarcoma of soft fabrics. Amputation of the left foot has been made. Through what that time there were metastasises in lungs. After check of markers medicine influence under name Glivec has been revealed positively. Then has started to accept Glivec and at me reduction of metastasises in lungs has begun. Tell please as it probably when Glivec this medicine is not intended absolutely not for struggle against a sarcoma of soft fabrics?
