  • This really helped me! thank sooo much!

  • @Kitte111981 you're in the USA, so your illness is their MONEY, this is why they always tell you you are ill when you are not! Don't fall for it, say to your doctor the ONLY 'treatment' you will accept is monitoring for a few months to see what happens with these 'abnormalities'. Even then, you have every right under your constitution to refuse medical treatment you feel you do not need! Don't fall for it. also check out 'unnessessary pap smears blogcritics' for others who feel the same as me.

  • This is such a scam. A few years ago, I kept getting "abnormal" pap smears from the doctor I was going to. It started at age 16. By the time I was 17, she was doing colposcopys/biopsys on me. Then one visit she sat me down and told me randomly that I have HPV, handed me an audio about a girl who died from it, told me I needed the Gardasil vaccine, and sent me home. I was so confused and distraught, didn't know what to think. Went to a new doctor a couple months later, told me I never had HPV!!

  • pap smear is a waste of time and money

  • ok someone just wrote and told me that they think colposcopy is necessary but paps are not. How would a doc know you needed a colp without a pap??? Please explain this! I am giong for a pap today but I do not like it when they use that brush cause I cramp for days afterward. Can't they just swab to get a smear? anyone?

  • @yahssis Yes, I do think that colposcopy is necessary, but pap smears damage blood cells in the cervix quite badly, which is why a lot of women bleed afterwards.

  • @SoldierOfChrist110 so do you think the colposcopy is necessary or no? What about the biopsies? even the word "pinch" biopsy sounds painful!

  • @thewr0ngchild I agree. Google Dr Angela Raffle. She is a specialist in the UK and believes these exams can do more harm then good. Pap smears can damage the cells of the cervix and may increase the risk of cancer. I have also discovered that a lot of gynecologists will do unnecessary exams on young, attractive women. They admitted that they can easily justify it. Many women have also complained that they often have unnecessary exams. This is a dirty trick by the male doctors who are creepy!

  • @thewr0ngchild As yourself, do you REALLY need to die of cervical cancer. Go ahead and DON'T take advantage of cervical cancer screening and early intervention that prevents cancer progression and death. But why are you trying to influence other people from protecting themselves?
