This is quick 'Torley style' screencast to show off a couple of new features in the latest version of Elysium generators, to whit impact & MIDI trigger modes for generators.

The video is a bit rough & ready but I hope you'll find it worth watching despite that. Also I'm sorry for all the fan noise. I didn't have a mic handy so I had to record my voice via the laptop mic. You can hear that iShowU HD drives the CPU pretty hard!

  • Informative and a good explanation of the new features. The picture in picture is provides more character to the video rather than just seeing the application interface.

I suggest breaking the video down into a scene for each of the features. Set up the connections for the scene, test, film then edit together. This maintains the pace and looks like you in control more.

  • Thanks for the comment.

I got the idea for using PiP from Torley, I like the way he does his videos.

I think I'll do a scripting video and try and sort out the mic situation.

  • You can download the latest released version of the Elysium sequencer for Mac OS X at mattmower dot com (music/elysium)

  • cool video. do you know where I can find the plug-in? I can't seem to find a download anywhere. thanks.

  • Really Cool Matt. Good work. Can't wait to see how this progresses.

  • This is a great sequencer, and I've been having a blast with it for a while now. The feature set is pretty robust, especially for a free product. I wouldn't call it a straight Reactogon clone, then again ... I haven't actually had the chance to play one yet. I wish there was more of a buzz out there for Elysium, because it can do some pretty amazing things when you have a sequencer triggering it.
