The 7th Division E. Cavalry demonstrates a mounted sabre charge and engagement at the Conservation and Research Center Autumn Conservation Festival. I love how the officer on the bay uses his horse offensively! Reminds me of playing polocrosse :-)

  • Can I use this in a video I'm making? I'll give you credit and send the link when I'm done!

  • @oarfrost

My once pristine saber is hull of gouges and nicks. I can tell you where and who most of those came from. What an awesome wall hanger and conversation piece it will be one day!

  • This is fun and thanks for the upload lovethathorse.

The only thing is, the way those guys are hacking at each other means that their swords will end up looking like hacksaw blades.

  • The Dance of the Sabre Fairies!!!

  • Yes, I think most horses would balk when the troopers tried to wheel in boot to boot, I hope to get into something like this someday when I can get my colt calmed down enough.

  • I don't think many folks who watch this stuff understand how difficult this is! You have your horse to control, the saber, watching the other horses and riders... Amazing! Such control! And the horses are AWESOME!!!

  • Not bad.
