A Nightmare on Elm Street REMAKE **CONCEPT** TEASER

This is NOT produced by the Platinum Dunes' People.

This is a CONCEPT PIECE created by Christopher Johnson IV (and crew) for his agent Robert Depp at the Beverly Hecht Agency to demonstrate his passion and take for a 21st Century Freddy Krueger.

Originally Johnson was plannig on pitching himself as a writer/director, but after Samuel Bayer was attached to the reboot, Depp began working to land an audition for Johnson with the Platinum Dunes camp and their casting people for the roll of Freddy. Since then, Jackey Earl Haley has been cast for the part.

Chris is a close friend and I have witnessed first hand his passion and love of this character and the story of Elm Street and thus, with his consent, I was helping to spread the word to help him realize this dream.

Things have gone in a different direction, but everyone involved is still happy to have taken a crack at it! Feel free to repost and share this with others who love the Elm Street franchise.

How do you feel when you see all the support of the real fans for your concept and the disappointment about the actual remake?

@pierreluc3200 I feel a great deal of appreciation, gratitude and camaraderie with the fans that have voiced their support of my concept here and I feel bad that the remake did not deliver on the kind of passion, excitement and horror that all of us alike desire from our favorite villain. More will come of the Elm Street legacy... I look forward to seeing what the future brings.

or who knows, maybe you can do a remake of a remake, like with that shitty Hulk movie that came out 6 or so years ago, now we have The Incredible Hulk which is awesome, doesn't seem like movies need much time in between for remakes these days, but your version can be the proper remake.

This looks terrific. Has scary elements the original lacked, along with some originality (Freddy on fire). Just seems more brutal, which is what this character is supposed to be. I would love to see a full-length feature by Christopher Johnson. Hope he gets a chance someday.

I love the original and remake a lot. I love what you were going for in this. Freddy being actually still on fire is a BRILLIANT concept. Man you nailed this bro. @ElmStreetTeaser You should direct nightmare on elm street because this teaser made freddy very dark and sinister..........The recent one that came out was ok but they literally turnt up the audio sound so it more scary everytime freddy yelled or something......lol

I comment on this video almost every year. I hate that New Line are such idiots and didn't take this amazing concept into consideration. If i ever "dreamed" (no pun intended) of a remake, this would be it 100%.
