This is just one of the most beautiful marimba solos ever written. I love your handling of the rapid passages at 2:27. I played them with a lot more rubato (sort of a slight accelerando) to make them easier to play. But you nail them without having to do that. 2nd movement....great job, and your mallet choice is perfect in my opinion. 3rd movement (one of my faves), Good choice of when to use one-handed rolls...I think I did it the same way you did but I'm not sure. This is great! thanks!

Hi Tomasz, great performance, I'd like to know a little about this piece since I would possibly like to play it on my senior recital and grad school auditions, how hard is it? how much preparation time would you say is needed and what is the best way to learn this piece, also as a non stevens grip player myself (I play a hybridized cross stick/burton grip) I'm wondering if there are any additional challenges to it

I really enjoyed your sound on the first two movements? What mallets are you using for them?
Hi! Those are Robert van Sice grey signature marimba mallets with plastic cores. I have number 4 in the bass and three number 5's . I think those mallets are not available in the U.S right now. I think you can buy them in Europe
