  • After 233 years as a nation, a black man was finally elected (with overwhelming support) into the White House. That's reason to celebrate.

  • The civilizing effect of antiracist movements seems undeniable but the "overwhelming support" that got him elected (& not say Cynthia McKinney) came primarily from capital-intensive internationally oriented business that thought it worth it to invest enough capital to attract more voters. Read Thomas Ferguson's Golden Rule: The Investment Theory of Party Competition & the Logic of Money-Driven Political Systems or watch this video I did last year explaining some aspects of it vimeoDOTcom/2611866

  • still proud of obama?

  • The truth is that there is no racism toward blacks anymore.

If there was, there would be no rap/hip-hop...no Tiger Woods...no Venus & Serena Williams...no professional football and basketball teams that are 90% black.

  • Fair enough, that sounds reasonable.

  • You don't need to know anything about economics to see that bailouts cause damage.

You would never give money to someone who were hopelessly in debt 'cause they would just spend that money too. For the same reason you would never give money to a company that can't survive in its own. They surely are doing something wrong and by bailing them out you just reinforce the bad behavior.

  • Honestly, you can't expect a lot of original thought from the guy you described.

What really scares me is that many highly educated people are reacting in the exact same way.

  • I've no idea whether government bail-outs are good or not, because I suck at economics. I was thinking about foreign policy. I think Obama can defuse the Iran and North Korea situations much better than Bush could, since the US is not invading them anyway. And with Obama, you'll at least get out of Iraq within the foreseeable future, so you can deal with the whole Afghanistan/Pakistan mess properly, which was not the case with Bush.

  • Well gas is going back up and we just added at least $1 trillion in debt. Obama has a shitty policy by the way. His first three months, hes given Iran the right to nuclear arms pretty much, NK is flexing its nuclear weapons and we arent doing a damn thing because they know Democrats are vaginas, He gave the queen an Ipod, He gave car companys billions of dollars and yet they still failed, and we are still in Iraq. AMAZING POLICY. Oh and this was only in 3 months.

  • "And in order for them to be rich, we must be the ones exploited and poor"

Nope, I see it as the biological need for humans to procreate when emotions and hormones rule over logic. When you're poor, but still better off working as a toothless garbageman, you'll still find some emotional reason to procreate when in all logical sense it makes no reason to do so. Your kid will in all probability, not be better off than you are although most likely you think he'll be the next tycoon or genius.
