Our cat is totally spoiled. We adopted Cinderella (Cindy) from the SPCA fourteen years ago. She'd been thrown out of a truck. The day we went to see her, they were about to put her down because she'd been there so long without being adopted. That's why we called her Cinderella - she went from living a life of abuse to the life of a spoiled cat.

  • "...and this is another one of Cindy's beds..." haha that's a lot of beds!!!!!!

  • Yeah, craptokker - and they talk about men and their toys!! If I was as spoiled as this cat....

  • Lol. Kitty doesn't like that 'bed' on her bed :)

My cat was the same way. Always had to be the center of attention.

  • You're right, jovan1964 - typical cat, has to be the centre of attention. Cindy does lie in her big warm bed more often now that she's gotten used to it. But she still likes the pillows! Maybe I should put a miniature pillow in her bed for her, lol.

  • My cat is just like that, albeit not at all spoiled.. but I did make him a very nice bed on top of my bed because I didn't want him lying directly on the sheets.. he sheds a lot... but will he sleep in his bed? Noooo Sir.

  • aww!

  • Cindy like to travel too - in the car, we've never flown anywhere since we got her. It's just surprising that she likes it in the car, because she'd be thrown from the window of a truck - that's how we got her. I don't think the truck could have been moving too fast, she didn't have any major injuries. But still... In the winter, when she gets cabin fever (she's an indoor cat) we take her for a car ride. lol

  • It was surprisingly easy. I lived there for four years; adopted her in the first year. Just had to make sure her shots were all up to date and properly documented, then carried her in the cabin of the plane in a Sherpa bag! She loves to travel, so it worked out just fine. She just gets kind of angry whenever I go somewhere and leave her behind.

  • Yeah, I'd much rather own (be owned by) a cat from the SPCA than a purebred.

How did you get your cat from Turkey to the U.S.?

  • Yeah, you're cat is VERY spoiled! I gave up on buying beds (I have about three in the house) when I realized that the favorite sleeping place is the pillows! And the new couch! (Instead, I invested in a couch cover. . . )

Cindy's an SPCA cat, eh? SPCA cats rock! Everyone should get one. My Squeak (long haired white) is from the SPCA. Deaf Minnosh is from the streets, of Ankara, Turkey!

What would the world be without cats to take care of (us)?
