A short clip from the Ron LeFlore story. Filmed at Tiger Stadium in Detroit on May 20, 1978. This was filmed before the 1st Tiger game I ever went to for my 11th birthday.

Cool cllips. My brother and I were at the game when they filmed this. My younger brother made a sign read "Go Ron LeFlore Go". If we were filmed it more than likely ended up on the cutting room floor. It was a better movie than it got credit for or maybe I'm just a homer. I like it.

Too bad LeFlore was a coke addict. This movie was too good to be a made for TV movie flick. "OIAM" was better than more than half of the films that came out in 1978. This movie should've been on the silver screen instead of the small screen. I bet it would've been nominated for a few Oscars. What Oscar nominees were better than this other than "Kramer Vs. Kramer"?

You are correct, he was the PA announcer from 1950-80 when he suffered a stroke. He was replaced by Fred Smith and John Bell a couple of years later.
