  • what year is this one

  • @MattytheDem I believe 1992

  • the ccr 2000 had mostly Suzuki engines

  • @MattytheDem

That's what I have been told, by mine is definitely a Briggs.

  • @donb1183 Briggs didn't start to make 2 cycles until the late 90's. The only reason why Briggs started to make these 2 cycles is because Toro bough out Lawn Boy and then sold the tooling for the Duraforce engine to Briggs were they modified the engine to work in a horizontal shaft configuration. Briggs only made these engines under contract for Toro. Also the CCR2000 used mostly Suzuki engines. Some had Tecumseh engines. Those old Suzuki engines will out last the machine.

  • @workensmart

Toro did use Briggs 2-cycle engines on some of these early 1990s CCR2000 blowers. Toro bought LawnBoy in 1989 so perhaps my CCR2000's Briggs engine does have a LawnBoy heritage!

  • @workensmart also have an older Bolens 1032.

  • @MattytheDem All I have is a little Powerlite. I built it out of two machines and just used the best parts from both. I actually have a spare engine for it that I got from work. They are great little machines. All the older toro's were really good.

  • @workensmart i have a 1000 as well with a 3.25 teccy. that thing works the balls at clearing decks and walkways where bigger snowblowers cant go. and its light enough for me to carry up a flight of stairs

  • @MattytheDem I know one of them used the 5 horse Tecumseh. I've worked on some with that engine. I even have a used on at the shop with a 5 horse Tecumseh. I know the 1000 had the little 3 horse Tecumseh. But your right all the 2000's had Suzuki engines I looked it up to.

  • @workensmart looked up the specs... every CCR2000 ever made had a Suzuki.

  • @workensmart the r tek is a briggs

  • @donb1183 if it has a briggs it is NOT the original motor. OE is a suzuki

  • @donb1183 whats the model number on this one?

  • according to toro all ccr 2000's have a suzuki motor

  • @donb1183 toro only sold the duraforce to briggs when they discontinued it as a lawnmower engine and went to a briggs quantum on thoise not they have some shit china motor
