How much Christ gave?

You mean like the price paid by solders in battle. They pay with there life, for what they believe is right. Just like "Christ".

So. He got nailed to a cross and tortured for me? this happened 2000 years before my birth? and as soon as i am born i already have this debt? The debt can only be paid by ignoring evidence and reason and relying squarely on faith? what kind of a messed up system is this?

There have been real people in this world that have done great things.

god sent his son not him self. so god didnt go through all the suffering for me or any body. he sent his son. i went through an operation knowing that i will be in misery from pain for a week and then have to stay in bead for a month. also knowing that after a month i will be healthy and resume my life in full capacity. what jesus did was some thing similar.

The difference between God and man is the same difference between man and insects.... I don't know about that either. I find the concept of God interesting nonetheless.. It doesn't seem to have taken from you or driven you to a nervous disposition on the surface at least. It isn't the same idea to everyone I suppose. You don't strike me as the wretched penitent.  I don't know though. I tend to imagine the depth of God's benevolence if it were insidious in relation to our present happiness.
