I read somewhere Dave Alvin considered himself the weak link in the band ... I sure ain't seein it .... and think he's a better fit than Keith Wyatt.

YES! I was at this show. It was a benefit to save an old school drive in restaurant called Johnies Broiler House that had been partially demolished by the asshole tenant, and turned into a used car lot. Update: The city of Downey and Bob's Bigboy stepped in and rebuilt the restaurant using the original 50's blueprints. There's also a bootleg cd floating around of this show. Get it if you can. It kick's ass. And the icing on the cake is that this show was on my birthday!
