Daggett, California is where Union Pacific's Los Angeles Subdivision splits off from Burlington Northern Santa Fe's Needles Subdivision. The Needles Subdivision is just one segment of BNSF's important Southern Transcon mainline. It is a busy one though as it sees 20-25 UP trackage rights trains between Barstow and Daggett on top of 60-70 BNSF trains.

@JoaoT805 my daughter-in-law just got one of those (Ipod touch). They are neat!. Surely they must have something planned RE tripod or mounting of some type for those. It sure made a nice quality video.

@JoaoT805 you did a pretty darn good job for not having one though. Looking at the footing you had in the area (rock, sand and gravel) its not easy to be steady. It was a good video. I wish I was closer to Daggett, I would love to video in that area.

@TheMadNorsky i have an ipod touch that i use which as you may or may not know doesnt have that one thing to hook on to a tripod. i used to have a non HD camera that has the tripod mount but i would prefer my videos in HD. sometimes i use the door sill of my car as a sort of thing to keep my ipod steady but didnt want to park close to the tracks here. but thank you for your kind comments. i know my video quality suffers without a tripod and i hate it too. lol
