Shot at the 2010 Franklin George Gathering. Ralph Roberts playing the popular West Virginia fiddle tune Old Jimmy Johnson with backup by Mark Crabtree on guitar and Rick on banjo/guitar. The fiddle is tuned in cross G.
Ralph is a relative of the well known Hammons family of musicians from central West Virginia.
I apologize for the poor camera position, but that was where I found something to sit it on. I'll post a couple closer videos of Ralph soon.
i have been searching for frank and june hammon from west virgina. my daddy played music with frank many times. his name was jack logan. i would love to hear back.

@dixi1958 I'll be sure to ask around. Hammons was a family name that had a lot of great musicians. Do you think that might have been the last name of the folks you are asking about?
