@Malunat13 suprisingly enough the layers of tape make the "Shrapnal effect" way low as the peices are super small and i've accualy had one go off right at my feet with no flesh damage from the aluminum.

When I was a kid and we had the good sparklers in California, I used to blow holes in the street with just 4 sparklers. Duct tape and black tape stretch too much. I used to use strapping tape and wrapped them as tight as I could. BOOM!!!
