-= PREFACE TO THE SCENE =-

Anjali is a dying autistic child. Her mother was informed she was dead at birth. This was to save the shock & trauma the mother would face knowing that her new-born was facing certain death in only a few days time. Anjali miraculously survives past few days & is a few years older now. However, the fate hasnt changed. Its merely delayed. Nevertheless, her mother is informed & she is brought home. Anjali quickly bonds with the rest of the family & friends but not with her mother.
Her mother desperately tries to win her affection but in vain. The mother's single most desired wish is that Anjali call her 'Ma' (mommy), just once. Anjali never does.

Later, Anjali is taken to the hospital after she suffers some respiratory attack. She is brought back home after the treatment. The doctors have informed the worse. That night her mother makes her bed, caresses her, switches off the lights & is about to walk out when she hears it......

For the first time & possibly the last.

  • @marun1972 Ennio Morricone, Max Steiner, John Williams...many!! But ILAYARAJA was certainly a KING, when it came to background scores and he revelotionized the concept in the 80's.
