this vehicle is dead, because it is a series drive instead of a launch assist, it will NEVER go commercial, it is WAY too expensive to produce, I worked on it for 5 years, and the EPA spent over 40 million dollars to develop it - just more tax money down the drain, thank Charles Grey

it's a shame the US is giving (hopefully selling) this technology to UPS and NOT using it on the post office. thats just crazy

I too have been following Dodge on this. They have plans for a Lifestyle truck that might beneift from the platform and technology. We likely won't see it until 2013 or even 2014. If they come out with something like looks like the Rampage concept that can do 40mpg.. that will be a game changer. Something with fold flat midgate, under bed storage, maybe a cab roof headache rack... Very interest in what's coming.

@cyberpine Well, according to Marchionne, the next gen Dodge Grand Caravan/Chrysler T&C are suppose to have a hydraulic hybrid model. I can't wait for these vehicles.

Any chance we will see this in passenger pickups any time soon? Will the hydralic motor be RWD or FWD? How much torque and for how long?

Much better than an Electric Hybrid. These fluids are cheap and the components are recyclable unlike many parts of the electric system. Lithium is also highly polluting when being mined and produced.
