Columbia University President, Lee Bollinger says the benefits of YouTube and the internet for democracy are unclear. Athenian center or just Babel? The whole interview is here: http://www.wnyc.org/shows/bl/episodes/2007/03/08#segment74971

  • Personally, I believe that YouTube is the best website on the Internet. All responses are treated equally. Comments are covered by all, liberals, conservatives and everything in between. The information on YouTube is so beneficial to everyone. I am a 67yr. old male and I love it. The only thing that upsets me is that most liberal responses are made by people who for the most part can't even spell. This says an awful lot about the education of these people.

  • I posted the entire speech by Iran's President at Columbia today.

  • It is ironic how those that spew tolerance and diversity totally lack those qualities. When they lack argument all they have is rant and fabrication. And when that doesn't work, turn to bull tactics.

  • Your so right. And your right about O'Reilly, the hate that comes from the conservative base is unreal sometimes. I can't think of one positive or optimistic that comes from any conservative from TV or talk radio.

  • Very accurate
