Me, I've been dealing with some heaviness, but it is
Getting better in my mind, I'm tryna heal the damages.
Hit the drank for a little bit,
used to roll the dank in a little spliff. Smoke mad cigarettes. Then I felt the need to grow like a little kid.
In the past, used to get as high as a building is.
Last thing on my mind was concealing it.
My brain cell count, I used to have a million.
But it'll dumb you down, shit I'm really feeling it.
Sometimes this world feels foreign like I'm an alien.
But I know I'm still Elliott.
Still got a track I'm killing, like a felon is.
Until I get to multi-millions,
I'ma just spit rhymes while I'm still feeling it.
I worry bout my fam not chilling yet.
Still stressing out about the bank account getting thin.
I hope maybe I could fill it in,
But right now we're still waiting on a deal with nothing happening.
But I still keep rapping, man.
keep playing shows, still tryna get my fans,
And tryna represent my dang culture.
Why rec executive are you a dang vulture?
Why does this gotta suck like a hangover?
In the past, thought my rhymes were tight like a chain choker.
Now I've grown a little bit, like my lyrics
and I got big boy problems now flowing from the pen.
I used to just be flowing with my friends,
Now I'm rappin' like it's the only way to make my ends.
Check ya options dog, that's what they tell me.
Why everybody focused on what will Ell be?
This is life, man. Ain't no guarantees,
So while I emcee, I work on my degree.
Cause I don't wan be broke, rappin in the streets
I seen it happen to some dudes, but it ain't happening to me.
I heard some people that would disagree
But ya pessimistic mind just ain't my cup of tea.
In a couple years I see me touring overseas,
Lots of fame and my name on a marquis.
Now my fam can rely on me,
and my pops can finally sleep in peace.
