  • Thanks you so much Ranjit!!! Your advice helped me a lot. Sorry if it got confusing at times, but I always understoon ram vs rom, i was just wondering if ram got smaller just like rom, or if it always stayed the same. I will apply your knowledge when I go to build my custom pc. Although I still do have some unanswered questions which I will leave for you to answer :)

  • @SnuggieDougie: I am glad that you find the info in the video helpful :)

  • Here you talked a lot about RAM. When I was using win XP Media Center Edition, I used get a pop-up message saying your virtual memory is low. What is that actually?

  • @indiainspace: That meant that your system did not have enough Physical RAM and it was using Virtual Memory HDD space as memory (very bad as it slows every thing down) and that too was running low....... BTW in XP you can increase the Paging file size for the Virtual memory........ but the best thing if you get that message is to add more RAM to that computer.

  • To prevent ur computer from getting slower u should, together with formatting and erasing ur computer once and while, run programs like Defraggler. If u fill up your HDD all the time and just erase it normally, traces and fragments of files will remain on the harddrive. Causing more operations when writing to your HDD. Defraggler or other programs like it will erase fragments and decrease operations.

  • In 2004 my Dad bought all the part's for his own custom gaming computer. In the end we had to call some guy down and build it for us because the wiring is, hard.

He spent $6,500 on this rig and today a standard computer will boot up faster. People, remember buy part's that can be upgraded! Always, always, always!

    Like so other's can see.
