Yeah, I wish people would get off that old war horse Recuerdos and play more unknown works like this. Philip is one of the best players in the world. I also viseoed him around 2001 at my place doing some amazing original work...but I need to figure out how to transfer it to YouTube.

I was listening to Phil play live in front of Peet's coffee Northside Berkeley today. He was just hanging out, enjoying the summer afternoon. What a great opportunity.

I'm also spoiled; seen P.R. play about 50 times and did 3 gigs with him long ago. He's back in the US now.

It is a Ramirez which Phil Picked out himself. He just wrote that he has had some repairs done to it. It is as uniquely sweet a guitar as is this one a uniquely delightful guitar piece. Phil's friend Kevin Gallagher has a version of it. I don't know if it's still posted. This is the maestro himself of course. The other is pretty cool. Phil likes it. It's worth a search. The title could bring it up. I don't think it's on YouTube.
