This was printed at Shapeways, see http://www.shapeways.com/model/22586/balance_weighing_scale.html for details, and it was the second winner in this contest:
http://www.shapeways.com/blog/archives/211-Moving-part-contest-winner!.html
You can order it at Shapeways, too. But it is not very accurate, because of the rough moving, maybe the "Cream Robust" material would be better than "White, Strong & Flexible". Model file: http://www.frank-buss.de/shapeways/scale2.stl

  • What is the name of the 3D printer?

  • @marvingo49 I don't know. Search on the Shapeways site for "our machines". They have many different models.

  • what is it and why is it awesome ?^^

  • @ReviewGameX Well, it is a weight balance scale :-) It is awesome, because it was 3D "printed" as one part and (kind of) works without any assembling out of the printer. And it was the second place in the moving parts contest at Shapeways, see the updated video description.

  • awesome. Can you send me file please?

  • @HalfPricePrototypes I've added a link to the STL model file in the video description.

  • needs some lube :). Graphite works well, doesn't get nasty or collect dust.

  • Have you tried lubing the joints?

  • nice

  • That is awesome! Well done mate.
