they did something similar where I live in Philadelphia, to the bank tower across the street from city hall that burned back in the 80s, except they didn't have the hydraulics. So they worked from the top down, floor by floor. It took years to get rid of that monstrous ugly run down thing!! But in the literal heart of a city across the street from a block-wide major landmark like city hall- you just can't implode things there. Floor by floor is SMART & safe.

Just for all the tards out there. Explosives are not fast. The physical building comes down in a few seconds but the planning takes forever and the cleanup of explosive demolition takes several times longer then any other method as you have to sort everything.

Basically they destroy the building from the bottom and up, they take the bottom floor, add hydraulic pillars(the red ones in the video), lower, destroy next floor, lower, repeat, over and over, it's not as fast as shaped charges perhaps but in crowded areas it's far more efficient.
