I need to respond to some comments on the original video. I don't think I got the point across to liberal Christians who don't feel responsible for the actions of Biblical literalists.

Voluntary allegiance comes with responsibility. Will you accept the death of children in the name of God, according to scriptural doctrine, or will you choose to seek out a faith that doesn't ask for the blood sacrifice of innocents? It's in your hands to choose.

I'm not saying Christians are evil. Most Christians are good people, excellent parents, intellectual and honest. They love God and their fellow man. But the same scripture they draw their moral code from also allows for great atrocity. Should we just accept the good with the bad, or seek out a new code?

  • @dannywizz "God created us in his own image. God is absolute moral, absolute holy etc."

    Your originality is noted.

But I give up. No matter what, you will keep repeating the same lie, that atheists have no ethics and you refuse to believe atheists who tell you otherwise. I guess you will have to experience it to accept it. Also, the fact that you can't find a reason to do good without resorting to god... it's not uncommon, but it sure is depressing.

I'm late for my satanic meeting, see ya.

I only read the Bible in the original Hebrew and Greek. King James was a book of fiction written by Satanists who serve on the Trilateral Commission and sucked their thumbs as children.

Remember what Jesus said: "χάρις ὑμῖν καὶ εἰρήνη ἀπὸ θεοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν καὶ κυρίου Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ."

    And that's pretty profound.

  • There is something rather hypocritical about this posting. I will assume you are against war atrocities towards children. I will assume you were and are against all foreign occupations of other countries during your lifetime perpetrated by the US government, knowing that an inherent part of war is the killing of the innocent. I will assume, that in your heart, you know that US government version of reality, is not to be taken literally. Have you walked away from Omelas?

When thunderf00t met the westboro baptists, they had bible aps on iphones, and said that the iphone was made by god through men so that they had handy bibles [they could also facebook on], which is a difficult point to rebut. Why can't a devout christian say god did the same with modern medicine, that god's devine plan has provided us with modern medicine, showing us that he's getting a little bit more and more forgiving about that thing we all did with a forbidden fruit?

  • Hosea 13:16

Other social animals also have morals. Chimps, gorillas and dolphins, for example, have certain codes of conduct that are learned behavior. They give value to leadership and share food and work. Their moral code doesn't perfectly line up with ours, but they have morals.

Humans don't have UNIVERSAL morals either. They are situational and cultural.

  • @Meurglys33 God created us in his own image. God is absolute moral, absolute holy etc.

Since we are created in the image of God we can detect right from wrong, that is why we feel remorse when we do something wrong. If we just were biological things we would not sense it.

  • @dannywizz "You will have lots of motivation to do bad and selfish things to please your own lust. So why hesitate? Where would we find that motivation apart from God to do good things? We would be dogs!!!"

What you're telling me is: without your god, you would rape, steal and kill, and rip sofas. And then you tell others that "Atheists don't have any objective moral standard."? You removed your god goggles and saw no reason to be good for the sake of good? Clearly your morality is superior...

  • @Meurglys33 Do you own a dog? Really, I have the sweetest dog, wouldn't hurt anyone I believe, she is good and kind. But still, she will kill the cat, mouse and rip my sofa up. That is evolutionary ethics!!!

Atheists don't have any objective moral standard. It does not exists in an evolutionary world.

You will have lots of motivation to do bad and selfish things to please your own lust. So why hesitate? Where would we find that motivation apart from God to do good things? We would be dogs!!!

  • @dannywizz "Atheist has no reason to be ethical. If you believe in GOD it is pretty obvious that there is meaning in everything and that you have to try to be ethical."

And the typical answer would be: if the only thing that motivates you to do good things is your faith... you're really one sick human being. And we're all thankful that you are a believer.

Try removing your god goggles for a moment, and to think of a reason to be ethical, should be easy to find, unless you're a sociopath.

  • Then I guess you are responsible for the actions of Mao, Pol Pot and other athiests who commit genocide? It goes both ways.

The Bible says NOTHING about healing, God can work through a doctor and modern medicine just as well as he can through a miracle. You would expect to see Christians historically being uninvolved in medicine, actually, Luke was a Doctor and Christians have been providing medical care since the beginning, it was one reason that they grew so quickly in the early days
