  • Very different church building than what JE would preach at today. Not only is it filled with imagery of crosses and such but many people may not notice: the welcome board said, "Open and Affirming" which has part to do with the JE controversy of why he was dismissed as pastor of his NorthHampton congregation.

In the congregationalist system, the member make the decisions. JE was opposed to OPENED communion, so he was removed. They felt the loss soon after he left.

  • A church in the United Church of Christ is named after Jonathan Edwards! How disturbing! UCC is a pro-infanticide "abortion" group.

I saw that the pastor's name was Kakos. It is a very apt name since Kakos is Greek for bad. How far we've fallen!

  • @turtle4aire,

The preacher's last name is literally Greek for evil. It's in the Bible at least thirty times. One of them is Matthew 24:48:

    But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

    In Greek that reads:

ἐὰν δὲ εἴπῃ ὁ κακὸς δοῦλος ἐκεῖνος ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ· χρονίζει μου ὁ κύριος,

The fifth word there is kakos, or 'evil'.

  • @turtle4aire,

"How far have we fallen to the point a church of Jonathan's is putting up with Abortion !"

We've fallen further than that. I think they recommend abortion sometimes.

The history of the decline of Congregationalism is long, complicated, and confusing. In the 1870s, even the Unitarians were condemning abortion and fired Horatio Alger for suspicion of homosexuality. Today, they'd be recruiting him.

  • @turtle4aire.

Just as many Presbyterians are in PCUSA, so are many Congregationalists in "United Church of Christ" denomination today. They weren't quite that bad until the 1960s, but the denominations that formed UCC were pretty bad by 1920. There are a few decent Congregational churches in the CCCC and probably some good independent ones and others in the NACCC. Grace Church in Pittsfield is about an hour away and is pretty good. Park Street Church in Boston is good too.

  • When I was watching this film, I was moved by the Lord's words being spoke by Jonathan and now after hearing that Jonathan's church now goes along with Abortion ! All I see now is a building and once was a church where Jonathan Edwards use to Preach at !

Lord have 2we rubbed the blood of the babys that are killed in abortion in the face of Jonathan Edwards ! Lord help us for we have forgotten you !

I can picture Jonathan flipping over in his grave right now !

  • @numberonesurvivor75 They what / they go with Abortion ? I bet you Jonathan is flipping over in his grave !

How far have we fallen to the point a church of Jonathan's is putting up with Abortion !

Lord help us for we are hell bound for sure with even attending that church ! Lord Help Us !

To Jonathan , We will try to stop them, so try not to flip over in your grave !

  • @M400fan No. I just see how "Roman Xtianity" differs from the Bible.

  • @clarkewi Are you a SDA?

  • Steeples are pagan phallic symbols. Crosses are idolotry. Sunday "Sabbath" worship breaks the 10 Commandments and therefore all of Gods laws.

  • Thanks! I'm home schooling and just wanted to know a bit more.
