Short clip of the great swedish Albin Motor 021 in action. Engine is from around 1955 and boat from the same area. Boat was made in Söderköping ( if you have info it is welcome).
The Albin 021 is the Harley Davidson of sea engines... you can hear the very low rpm that allow the heavy flywheel at 0:58 seconds....and the harley like sound...
Unfortunately Albin was bought over by Volvo Marin and killed in the 70's. Parts can still be found and a vast community of users still use the engine...
My engine is not very reliable for long runs and is going to be refurbished next winter for another 60 years of work ! Film shot with an iPhone for informative purpose ( please bear with the shaking and blur...)
Cool! I finally got a new rebuilt engine in kristianhamn in autumn, added a water temperature gauge so to be 100 sure of quality of cooling! Can't wait to try this summer!
