  • does that temp sender unit require it to be in metal to metal contact with the engine to function(grounded with engine)? thanks

  • @angry4nus Nope, it's a resistance-style sensor so while the gauge needs a ground the sensor does not.

  • Does your Water / Coolant Temperature Sensor Kit AEM Part# 30-2011 work for oil temperature? I have a digital temp gauge but the sensor and connector was cut off. If I can use this kit, it'd be way cheaper than to buy a whole new gauge

  • @rreign0311 Yes it does, both the analog and digital gauges come with a faceplate for oil temp.

  • DO YOU KNOW WHERE CAN I FIND A GAUGE THT MESUR's THE AIR TEMPERATURE ONLY!!!

  • @mdrgstankovic2 Where do you want to measure air temp? In the manifold or ambient temp?

  • Will threadlocker seal the threads adequately, or is it necessary to use teflon tape? It could be that I just didn't use enough teflon tape and/or I applied it incorrectly, but I think the oil might have dissolved it. Thanks for your help.

  • I have a temp gauge that may have a "bug". The leds around the rim occasionally don't light up until greater than 173*F. Can I arrange with AEM to exchange?

  • @AEMonly

well to be honest i want to meshure the temperature of my pc xDD

  • @habbousa01 What else is there to explain, the black goes to ground, like a bolt or screw that touches metal, the red is ignition, if you don't know what that is, use your red stereo wire, then route harness through firewall and unscrew your old oil temp sensor and screw in the knew unit that plugs into the harness. Done.
