I was glad to be out of high school. We didn't get beatings, but I disliked it nonetheless.
I knew schools that used the stick, slipper, belt, brush, birch, strap, shoe, paddle, etc, and it did no good.

no i haven't personally. i have met bullies though and have to counsel kids who do not benefit from it and turn the totally different way and become bitter and changed for the worse. i am sure there are cases for both. there always are.

And when they do get exposed to it, it can lead to this. You see them all panting and drooling and wanting their own? I'm one of them, but at least I know why. You get whupped enough, the wires get crossed in your head. It's fucking sick to do to kids. For those of us already grown and fucked up on it, though, we try to make the best of it.
