When it started i Thought- oh dear lord no what have they done! After Watching it-i say- BAHAHAHAHAHA! That was awesome! It didn't taint Dickinson nor the poem for Me in the slightest! For those who said this poem is now ruined for you- there are close to 1800 Dickinson poems out there which revolted around death in most parts. I am sure you will find a new favorite-I just hope- for Your sake- people don't do a rap about your future discovery! ;) Great job guys you made my day!

Great job! I can't believe some people are offended by this. I have a feeling that anyone who is offended by this probably is a cat hoarder - ha ha.

Came back to watch this again! I love it! Immortality rocks my world!
A crit I left out last time is that you should have practiced the "rapping voice" better, made the breaks between syllables sharper. But hey-- small complaint for a TOTALLY AWESOME VID!!!!!

Go, young people! Awesome. Your parents and teachers must be so proud of you!

THIS WAS WONDERFUL
I enjoyed this. You got a thumbs up the moment Emily's face with the creepy whispers of "emmmillyy" appeared. The music was well-chosen and well-done, the on-stage choreography was excellently conceived (although the dancers were a little out of sync at times), and I LOVED IMMORTALITY. Immortality had such a unique and gripping character. The chase during the credits conveyed great things about the physical, emotional, and existential struggle we have in confronting death.

Honestly? You butchered one of the greatest poems about death by one of the best American poets ever. I mean it was good editing and kind of cool but very little of its meaning was shown here.
All in all pretty weak.

I truly hope you don't believe we intended to illuminate the real meaning of this poem; it should be quite obvious that we followed only its literal translation. We used this expressive poem on a rather grim topic to evoke a new sense of absurd hilarity with no intention of mocking Dickinsons work. We merely wanted to embellish an otherwise ordinary high school project. We are sorry that you didnt find our video as amusing as our teachers or fellow classmates, but we appreciate your feedback!
