Russian minicrossbow supplied with the built-in system of leverages for cocking the string.
Made of special steel and designed to withstand up to 200 kg (not pounds!) limbs.
Produced since 1982 in Tula. Received a special Product of the Year Award in the former USSR.
Originally designed and patented by Andrei Averin, Russian military engineer under the name of Strizh.

  • Recently US military purchased Russian combat helicopters for operations in Iraque and Afganistan. I asked a friend of mine in the headquartes why did they do that?

    He said Russian helos are much more easier to control and they are much more reliable in such climate

    It was first invented for throwing grenades and other devices and later was transformed into a usual crossbows. Approximately 5000 units were produced by a provate enterprise based on Tula armory (Russia) in big and small versions.

  • This small Russian crossbow for adults and kids seems to be interesting for experimenting.
