@sonicwingnut Same here. Got my new laptop, it came with a pre installed W7 x64 Home edition. Kind of unstable, it seemed, so I quickly put my Ultimate edition on it. The same shenanigans are still there, but it's stable. Laptop ram is also (fairly) cheap, so I upgraded my 4gb to 8, and since then, it's even smoother than ever. Anybody asked me I'd tell them W7 is the best yet. I hope they won't screw up W8 though, because the visuals, and the controls look great!

@Termiborger I was thinkin that about the 6 cores comment.. I got 4 cores here, running Windows 7 x64 with a few things open.. status monitor says I'm using about 1% of the total processing power. It's RAM it uses a fair bit of, using 2GB right now, but hey RAM is cheap, that's why I have 12GB.

@bdoorenbos85 You do know, that a good % of Microsoft OS' out there is pirated, and work 100% optimally. And saying that W7 needs 6 cores is quite an exaggeration. True, it's needy compared to the older XP, but it's just as stable as that. But I can't complain about Linux either, if for some reason my Windows screws up, Linux is a miracle tool :D

@bigbirdscuttles24 Processors are made with gold because of its conductivity and Windows needs a 6 core for all the resources it takes up. How can you justify complaining about the cost of mac's hardware when you're paying insane amounts of money for your software? Windows 7 costs the same as a new computer. Just switch to linux and use cheap hardware and free software.
