i dont wanna seem argumentative but are we assuming that the men in all the pictures are gay because they sit with there legs crossed have a hand on a shoulder or there own hip. there are cultures where men walk holding hands. does that make THEM gay too. just curious as to what the determining factor is.didnt superman (even tho fictional) stand with his hands on his hip. why cant we see the back of the picture to see what's written.

If you listen to the opening voice over, Janora says that this is a collection of Afro Male Affections, photographs of black men throughout history, displaying their affections on camera. The experts says in these photographs, they made a decision to be bold and show their affections. The owner of the collection, has information on where they came from, the inscriptions on the back and the stories connected for him to make that call as to who is or isn't gay.

I hope that everyone truly understood this message. Yes, it's unfortunate the title had to be "Gay edition." However, I believe in us as a people,” African Americans or Americans" can learn from this video. Please understand the photos were taken in periods when freedom was our main motivation as a group. Even being about to express ourselves as an individual was a struggle during those times. The question about, “Are we really free as an African Americans” is still up for debate in my book.
