  • @dedasoto Perhaps you can also explain why Singapore is consistently ranked number 1 in the world for maths proficiency, and who are you to say what is or isn't math?

  • In Singapore Math, we memorize the 12 timestable.

  • @dedasoto The better method is a method that helps an average student at that age level to learn, not a method that forces down a bunch of terminologies into the students' memory, or one that only a small number of students can grasp. Watch the "drawing bots" whose brains have been dulled according to you enter middle school much better prepared in math than the ones who were fed Saxon math.

  • Saxon math is so much better than Singapore math. I am very disappointed in the convoluted Singapore approach. It turns these kids into drawing robots and dulls the brain. People are stuck on the mystique of "Singapore". It's another dumbing-down method like Everyday Math and TURC math. Saxon is far superior and IS math.

  • I am a homeschool mom and appreciate your video. Pulled my son out of school due to the very low curriculum standards in our state of Florida. Singpore Math is just the ticket!

  • Two thumbs up for teaching different approaches so that everyone gets it. People find math "hard" when then can't grasp the *concept* of how to solve the problem before the lecture moves on to the next topic. Once a building block is missing, it does become harder later on. Keep up the good work.

  • You're an awesome teacher; I am an Early Childhood major, and we are learning about all the different strategies we can use in our class, when we're teaching math.
