في إطار تنفيذ قرار الرئيس مبارك بإعدام الخنازير في مصر، تنفرد محافظة القليوبية بدفن الخنازير أحياء وحرقها بمواد كيماوية. محررة المصري اليوم مها بهنساوي تتبعت رحلة الخنازير من زرائب الخصوص إلى المدفن الصحي بأبي زعبل.
