For more of my offerings: www.the-liberator.net .Part way 2008 I had this crazy idea that Id like to make a puppet of Dr. Whos Davros and embark on making a series of web-shorts entitled The Adventures of Tiiiiny Davros!

Aaaanyhoo, after months of on and off work and painstaking procrastination this is the very delayed and final result! I give you, in all his glory, Tiiiiny Davros! Ready to trundle off and extend the reign on Dalek might... in his own small way.

He was going to look a lot more silly but when it started coming together I thought that itd be a shame to goofy him up, so hes a bit more sedate than originally planed and is fairly close to his the TV show counterpart.

For the new to Dr. Who people who saw Davros more recently, this is what he used to look like back in the early Tom Baker days.

The base was kit bashed from a 12 Dalek toy, the brown bit of his head and his hand was made by my Bro. (huge props for that) and the rest was made from junk in the shed.

Very happy with how he turned out.

  • I'd love to achieve the facial colours of your Davros at 2:28, what colours did you blend?

  • @DavrosTheKaled My brother did the head and hand painting and he's advised that the colours were Bestial Brown, Scorched Brown, Terracotta Brown, Bleached Bone with some black and white (not sure which ones). They were all G.W. paints.

  • How?!

  • @captain0ldy0da My site ]the-liberator[dot]net in Drawings & Sculpture has more details. Basically the chair top is scrap plastic, seams filled with kneedable epoxy, head, hand & headrest sculpted from super scupley & the backrest is aluminium flashing bent over a rod. Sponge foam with wire for shape. Head gear is wire, solder blobs and a bead for the mic with, hand wound, single strands of low current electrical wire coloured with marker. LEDs are triggered by a switch by a rear wheel.

  • ever thought of taking a job at charictor?

  • @danbroad9 Hah, that'd be nice. : ) If they came knocking I certainly wouldn't turn it down!
