Bix on a Bike

A ride round the village on my mountain bike. Accompanied by The Delta Jazzmen in the way of Bix Beiderbecke - Clarinet Marmalade and Margie - two of my favourites. Recorded in the INL Club, York in 1966.

The camera was mounted on a monopod, fixed to the bike at two points with insulating tape. This was the first and last attempt.

Seen briefly is the barmaid, Sue from the Fox & Hounds. She always says "Tiger?" when I walk in. I was flattered till I realised that was the name of the beer!

cool idea :) feels like riding with an old walkman in your ear ... at first I thought you were a Davenport resident...bet you are the only guy like me who DOES riding with Bix in his ear (and no 120dB hip hop)! ;) But it takes a genius like you to FILM it LOL cool!

Only a small village - one pub, one chapel, one former railway station, one post office soon to go, not really in the north where I come from - I like it!

I will be going north at the weekend to the 'wrong side of the pennines to see 15 inch gauge steam. Al
