They could sue in a civil court, but they won't. Not if they have a lick of sense. The US Federal government will not waste the resources to take a civillian to a civil court for a piddling $10,000 when the civillian can pay $2,000 for a semi-decent lawyer who won't just overturn this flimsy case before it goes to court but counter-sue in the region of $50,000 -> $100,000 for emotional trauma and distress cause by those officers acting outside of their remit.

TSA "agents" ARE NOT law enforcement. Just because they wear a badge and talk loud means ZERO. They are glorified Wal Mart greeters. YOU give them the power to do this to you and others...stop flying and see how quick shit changes. Just one day with no customers and the airlines will force changes to TSA policy.
