The billionaire Koch brothers opened a lobbying office in Madison just off the Capitol Square at 10 East Doty. The Koch billionaires PAC gave Gov. Scott Walker $43,000 for his campaign and funded a multi-million dollar attack ad campaign against his opponent Tom Barrett.
Koch Industries Inc. (Charles and David Koch) is worth an estimated $43 billion. They have been tied with anti-union causes and they have encouraged Walker's push to eliminate collective bargaining rights for public workers. The Koch bros have backed groups including Americans for Prosperity, which organized the Tea Party rally Saturday and the recently launched, Stand with Scott Walker website.

On Thursday February 24th at 4:00pm over 500 protesters from the state capitol made their way over to the Koch Brother's lobbying office to protest outside

  • Who has the time to protest? Must be one of the dozen or so personal holidays government employees get. You taxpayers in Wisconsin think you've got it bad? In Illinois we only have a 200 billion dollar pension deficit with a credit rating that is currently the lowest in the nation.

  • Koch brothers own businesses in WI and are doing more for this state than all the "protesters" combined. Losers

  • @philip0460 Please don't say God bless the American worker. Thanks for the support though.

  • @FORMETOKNOWONLY

You IDIOT!!! Walker did NOT campaign to crush Union Collective Bargaining you MORON!! Basic 1st Amendment Rights! Ever heard of them?

  • Your comparrison is taken out of David Kochs ass. He is using you to divide and conquer. You gotta be kind of daft to9 thi9nk that pulbic seco9tr workers, policemen, techers, firefighters, as such should not have the same rights as you. Hell! You hyate unions! But yoour too gutless to admit it! Because you are a corrupt governors boy! If there was an election tomorrow in wosconsin, how much do you think that the corrupt DICTATOR Walker would lose by?

  • @bohemianwriter1

My comparison is that you cannot compare public sector unions with those in the private sector, but I opine you already knew that.

The Governor of Wisconsin is not a dictator since he was elected by the people of the state. BTW- He is making good his promises to his constituents.

*** No, not buying into anything. I am actually able to think and speak for myself. A right I will use while I still can.

    *** Not blaming anyone.

****Just not buying your agitprop. ;)

  • Union workers must be in this instanse the apple, while Scott Walker is the turd.

And the Koch brothers are now trying to devide and conquer through his puppet dictator in Wisconsin. They are tryin to make one half of the middle class to kill off the other half of the middle class. And you're buying into the teabag garbage that the RWers are screwing your head with. Blaming union workers for your misery while Koch and Wall Street are laughing all the way to the bank - With YOUR money.

  • Cont6.

Do you think they are greedy if they must pay for Walkers taxcuts to Koch, and the goal of destroying the whole Democratic party? Do you want a one party system where GOP is dictating to you what to do, what to watch, what to wear, what to eat, and do the Spanish inquisition on women have to see a doctor after a rape? And I was asleep half the time!

  • Cont5.

You as their so called employers have no right to invade nor inhibbit their freedom to do collective bargaining or unionise! And if you think that it will be better in private, think again. You don't elect the CEO of your company. You elect your Peoples Representative! You elect your government! So did the public sector workers. They are police! Firefighters! Teachers!

  • Cont4.

If you think that your millionairs would be worse off thyan your kids teachers or your police officers if the first have to pay 3% more in taxes, to return to the pre-Bush period, then I think you flunked basic economics flatly. I passed economics! Oh! One more thing: Public workers are citizens just like you! Also they are protected by the 1st Amendment! It's something called free to assembly and associate. In other words:

  • Cont3.

Do you think that it's all fine and free market dandy that your oil companies buy sell off puppet dictators in Africa just to pump up their oil and spoil the whole livelyhood for the villagers? Do you think it's OK for a country to invade or stage a coup in another country in the name of your socalled freemarket system?

  • Cont.2

Did you know that neither BP, GE, or several other billion dollar businesses don#t pay tax at all while they have their floor employees pay it? If corporations should have human rights, why shouldn't corporations pay taxes while you should? Do you think that it's better for a CEO to get that extra million than struggling familys in Mississippi or Wisconsin or New York?

  • Cont..

It will ultimately be up to you wether you want to support your neighbour or the corporation whom will use its taxcut or non tax to ship abroad with the blessing of Christianity and GOP while your neighbour is starving to death because you rather have GE ot Golmdan Sachs to have tax cuts instead of you or your neighbour..

  • @FORMETOKNOWONLY

To put your comparrison first. Where does your analogy fit into this picture? And where does your question fit into what I just said? Answer those things, and you have answered your own question...

  • @bohemianwriter1

You are comparing apples and turds...

Who pay the majority of the property taxes in your area? Is it just the rich? Get real.

Just keep in mind scooter that public sector unions are NOT dealing with corporate America fat cats--they are dealing with everyday American taxpayers.

  • @ObowMao666

What's your point here, besides from being staggering juvenile?

Freedom to peacefully assemble, and protest draconian policies is embedded in the 1st Amendment. Also to associate freely. Walker and his corporate shills wants to repeal that right.

Without liberalism, you'd still be living in the Dark Ages....

  • @FORMETOKNOWONLY

The union workers are not the problem. The tax cuts to the stinking rich is the problem. It's how GOP and their puppet masters are shipping out Americas wealthes one dollar at the time. Leaving you to go at each others throats...

  • These union idiots are backed by Thomas F. Steyer. a billionaire San Francisco hedge fund manager and very librul democrap. So I like the lady with the sign that says "Big Money Buys Bad Laws". Steyer is a rich freakin faggot and these morons protesting for him don't even know it!

  • Wisconsin GOP Senators Head to Washington to Collect Their Payoffs, Er, Campaign Contributions

Republican senators Glenn Grothman and Alberta Darling will giving blow jobs to the koch brothers - Walker will be asslicking

  • The taxpayer is suffering, but somehow we all should pay up so they can continue on with these generous compensation packages...the public be damned.

To Hell with these public sector unions.

  • What a sad looking collection of people....
