  • This is really cool; I'm glad there are like minds out there. It's hard living in Middle America and rejecting our social institutions alone :(

  • There is a simple solution, but not Socialism. Socialism has roots in an archaic and doomed structure just like all other historical ism's, like Capitalism.

Solution: The Venus Project and the Resource Based Economy, using technology to serve us, and free humanity to become something greater.

    Just google The Venus Project.

  • I am a grassroots conservative with socialist leanings. Capitalism has its drawbacks. The elitists need to filter down some of the 95% of their wealth instead of blaming everyone else for their economic failures.

  • Look at Japan as an example: before WWI Japan was a feudal nation. 20-30 years after redesigning their education system the new Japan was born, from 3rd. world nation to world potence in one and a half generations. So great was their investment on the new generation, that when these younglings grew up and became Japan's leaders they transformed their whole nation. Sadly they were still misled into believing capitalism was the right way. Education is the cornerstone of positive social evolution.

  • I do believe change is possible, The Venus project is an interesting option, but it will not work unless most people understand the value of cooperation, and let go off the old ways (putting a price tag on everything), understand that their material possesions are of no relevance to fullfill their true hert's desire (long, healthy, happy, productive living, improvement of ones conciousness, evolution as a species). Even before being able to create the first "ideal" city we need "ideal" people.

  • @TZMSocialEvolution Socialism isn't a simple solution. Neither is The Venus Project. Socialism has roots in archaic, but not necessarily doomed structures. There's nothing wrong, per se, with 'ism's either.

  • I don't like the venus project propaganda, I find it everywhere today....

Technology isn't going to save us, it will only amplify what we are already doing, whether good or bad. Food, health, money and disease had never been a problem had the world been run in a fair way. We got more than enough land and food for everyone on this planet, but our greed makes a peaceful coexistence an impossibility.

We do not say it openly, but the world is worked by slaves today for the rich minority.

  • @TZMSocialEvolution Zeitgeist is merely Marxism with another plaque.

  • @TZMSocialEvolution I agree. It should be done with communism as well, though. Why aren't there more people working on the creation of micronations just to see how things progress? It's well worth it I would say, as we can NOT continue to live in a society like this.

  • @PesiCool As for the "exact process"...please, I'm not a sooth sayer. I can't predict exactly what tomorrow will be like, much less explain exactly how humanity will implement such a system. The first step is to build a test city and see what works and what doesn't...and fix what doesn't. We aim to prove what we say using the scientific method (experiment), not force it on people (like Communism did). If people like it, they'll gravitate to it because it works.

  • @PesiCool The entire planet is scientifically analyzed for material composition, an accounting of all natural resources (which we do already for comets and asteroids anyway), plus an accounting of what things are necessary to sustain high qualities of life for all people using the best and most scientifically advanced technologies, knowledge and techniques.

Once the baseline is met (all people living well) using all available resources and capabilities, it's all improvement afterwords.

  • @PesiCool It's hard to explain all this in a YT chat box b/c I can't go into detail w/ just 500 characters, and all the details are on the TVP website anyway.

You're assuming a "form" of government exists at all, that it must exist. No it doesn't, not if all basic needs are met for all people without using human labor as a trade medium to get things done, or to sustain lives. Govt's job is to regulate economy & protect people. Better the system holistically and that becomes less relevant.
