  • I have read every book you have ever wrote under Barbara Michaels. You are absolutely the best Gothic writer ever... "Amazing"

  • Amelia and Emerson ROCK!! Please tell me that Barbara Rosenblatt will be the narrator for the audio books. She is a superb reader for your books!

  • You are the author whose books I've read and reread time and again. Your heroines (and heroes) are so cinematographic and so real in my mind and my heart, that I simply cannot understand why they haven't been turned into very successful films a long time ago. Madam, you are an international treasure.

  • The Amelia Peabody mysteries are such fun to read. I'm nearing the end of the series and think I shall start all over again. Don't stop writing, Dr. Mertz!

  • I have read every Elizabeth Peters novel! Amelia and all the Emersons are my absolute favorite. It has been a few months since this book published. I cannot wait for the next installment.

  • I love Amelia Peabody and am looking forward to reading about her latest adventure. Thank you, Dr. Mertz, for creating these very entertaining books. I wish the Emersons were real!

  • Have read them all, and everything else by this wonderful author, starting with the non-fiction Temples, Tombs & Hieroglyphs. Started because I too was interested in Egypt. It's delightful to see & hear her in person. And she's right, we readers LOVE the humor in her stories.

  • Oh the danger of falling in love with the works of a truly imaginative and enjoyable writer! I read River in the Sky yesterday and today and now I am eager for the next one. Please say it's in the works and we won't have to wait so long.

  • Whew! I'm so delighted to know that this story takes place in 1910...I have been worried ever since I learned that "a river in the sky" is the way the ancient Egyptians got to their afterlife. I can't wait to read this book!

  • Keep on writing...it's what keeps us alive.

  • So nice to see "Elizabeth Peters" in person. Thanks for so many hours of enjoyment, reading your books...and through your character Karen Nevitt in Shattered Silk, even a role model.

  • I've read all of the books in the Amelia Peabody and Vicky Bliss series. I'm really looking forward to this new novel - Amelia is such a wonderful character!

  • I'm on the 10th book in the Peabody series and I'm super excited to hear that the series will be ongoing! I'm in love with the Emersons(espically the older couple) :)

  • You gave us Egypt and I've loved it ever since. Thanks again. Now pleeease come back to Borders and talk to us again. We miss you! And bring Barbara R with you - you are an amazing pair.

  • I have read & loved every book in the Amelia Peabody series (via Audible Books). The books have also inspired me to read as much as I can about Egypt. Thank you so much for this new book - I look forward to Amelia's new adventures andthe new opportunities for me to learn. Love you and your work!! (Also LOVE Barbara Rosenblat - she really brings the books to life!)

  • I am so happy Thank you for giving us another adventure of Peabody and family!!!! I can´t wait to read another adventure from the extraordinary Amelia Peabody Do never stop writing Peabody´s delightful mysteries!!!!

  • Never stop writing! You make my life happier!

  • Thank you for giving us a bit of personal history behind the writing of the new Amelia Peabody book. These videos are a fabulous idea. My big program is I will read the book in short order and then be anxiously awaiting the next one!

  • I agree with everyone. I am so excited to be getting another Amelia Peabody book. I have pre-ordered mine also and can't wait. I have read them all over and over. And also all your other books as well. I loved the video it was like listening to an old friend. I can't help thinking your personality must come through somewhat in your books. And I know them all so well. Thank you so much for adding another adventure for all of us who love the Emersons.

  • Along with the rest of you, I love Amelia and the books, but what I like about the video is getting to see and hear Elizabeth Peters!

  • 40 years of art and archeology and a mid-westerner from a long line of strong willed women--Peabody/Emerson clan is rather like going home, just with more bodies. Carry on, thank you.

  • I have every "Elizabeth Peters" book in paperback. Cannot wait for the next Amelia book! I love the way she 'speaks' about her little vanities - makes me think she's someone I'd like to meet.

( Who will I give them to, I wonder?)

  • Just finished the recording and I have to say, Ms. Peters is still, very much in her prime!

    Rosenblat

  • I can't wait!!! I love the Emersons! :)

  • I am so excited about this new Amelia book! Thank you for doing the video and I look forward to the next installment!

  • Very exciting. I assume we will be getting an audio version -- unabridged of course -- by Barbara Rosenblat. Then life will be good again.
