@harperofthewiz :-)the thing on her head is called Mahkoot(mukut). It is made of sol(pronounced sole), a plant core. Cutting and moulding sol into mukuts is a delicate art in puri(orissa) and in West Bengal. The Bengalis use beautiful sol headgears as Topor and mukut for groom and the bride respectively.
