  • "We'd been out filming the peaceful protest..." Not so. it was not a peaceful protest. The protesters were throwing rocks indiscriminately not caring where they hit. One broke through a window of a building where Amy Goodman was broadcasting. Naturally the riot police were called out. Also, this woman's face was bloodied? She doesn't look bloodied to me. No scars, not so much as a scratch. And she's holding the camera and screaming. These people were provoking the cops like they always do.

  • she said "that was the whole video"...hell no! she wants us to believe that she only filmed 49 seconds? shes a liar who was deliberately trying to provoke an instance of police brutality so she could put it on youtube...even by Nicole's own admission they were filming earlier but why did they not show this in the video?

  • I get my information from Democracy now, and international sources, mostly global German, Russian and British broadcasts. And I'm going to say outright that I don't trust my own judgment enough to filter through every layer of crap the corporate media delivers . . . so I use sources that are less convoluted and bias.

But, since you don't respond to my arguments in your replies, I'm not going to waste anymore time with you. You clearly have a far too shallow understanding of history and politics

  • Well I don't know where you get your info from but all major media is either owned by the elite or the government so you get what they give you.But if you look they do give you part of the truth most of the time but you got to look.

  • I'm not going to challenge you in that point. But I think a distinction needs to be made. Free press doesn't exist in states the implement radical change through force and disinformation. Your association is too broad.

I think you would even be hard-pressed (pun intended) to call the great majority of media in the United States 'free'.

However, nations with the most absolute freedoms tend toward more socialist government (and thus more communist). Scandinavian countries in particular.

  • Well hippo first of all I did not write this must of been ol lady. As far as your communism comment name me just 1 communist country that has free press or speech for that matter

  • Yea, they had press credentials anyhow... The police simply violated their rights and broke the law.

And don't bring communism into this, it has absolutely nothing to do with any of it. By associating communism with censorship and oppression you're simply demonstrating your own ignorance.

  • you're disgusting.

  • u r a total douche

get a life u fuckin lame
