Ooooohhh...ok! But, im sorry for all these questions, but, why do you need to add an image texture to the plane?

Did you use "a blue or a green box" for shooting your hand? I mean, is it a video of an arm on a still outdoor image or is it completely a video sequence? Did you make the shadows with AE? I mean the shadow of the thub on the billboard or the shadow of the billboard on the land. I have a school project about 3D compositing, so I need a little help. Thanks. Nice idea and video by the way :)

I shot all footage of my hand in front of the sky and composited it over the background in AE. The shadow on the billboard was done in Maya as a seperate shadow pass. I modeled a proxy of my thumb and eyeballed the match move.

I have a question how do you composite 3d elements from maya into after effects and still have the function of the z-depth of your 3d element in after effects and be able to place your 3d object anywhere as you please in after effects?

I used render layers in Maya. When I brough them in as layers in After Effects and used a blur on the layer to simulate depth of field. It is possible to render z-depth as a channel, and you can use that information with a lense blur in AE. As far as placing 3D elements anywhere... I brought the video source footage in to Maya and used that as a reference for the 3D objects.

Ok...how do import video into Maya? I've tried to figure it out, but I can't...If there is a way, please reply!

First you need to convert the video in to a series of still images. Then in maya, add a image texture to a plane and select the 'image sequence' check box. Make sure the images are named like 'name.001.tiff' maya looks for the period in front of the image number.
