@wakeus777 I would like to know what you think of Christian artists like Chris Tomlin (song: I Will Rise), Amy Grant (song: Better Than a Hallelujah), and Matt Maher (song: Turn Around)? Such songs seem to me to be very good, spiritually. However, with your knowledge of music theory and being a Believer, is there something that would cause you to think such music is Satanic? Thanks.

@TristanandIsolt No we can't use country music to give God glory. We are not to love the world and we are definitely not to take the devil's music into the house of God.

@wakeus777 Amen, good insight.

Being a former heavy metalist who understand music theory and has a degree in guitar performance, I just would like to ask all you hypocrites who say the style doesnt matter one question: If Jesus knocked on your door and said to stop w your so called christian rock, rap, etc. and follow Him, how many of you would give up your music for Him? I would... and already have. growing is mandatory, growing up is optional. This man has nothing but truth

@mashay301 not at all... You must remember english is the worst language EVER. He's citing the original latin, hebrew and greek texts which Im sure you cant even comprehend based on your very obvious limited knowledge of other languages... especially the ancient ones

@KingJamesBible whats so ironically clear is how people who are defending the styles of music are more quick to defend the earthly styles instead of GODS WORD. in their own arguments, they show how much earthly music has control over their worship of God. Like they need it to fulfill their praise of the Almighty or some stirring of the flesh to feel so. lol whatev. the question is since God told us to "give up all your possessions and come and follow me..." how many would give up earthly music?

I had a stomach virus yesterday. If I heard the part about Mary singing about the way she was the day before, I think it would sent me straight to the bathroom.

@mashay301 I personally grieve the Spirit when that rock music is played somewhere were I can hear it.God Spirit hates music that apeals to the flesh and Satan was created with pipes and instruments so he has attacked music: because he was the Annoited Cherub that covereth:he led the music in heaven read Ezk and Gods Bible with those new versus with full force.If you are close enough to the Lord then his Spirit will discern what he like and hates you will feel wrong inside.

LOL now I listened to some more Sound Doctrine and they are certainly more country than rock. I still like them fine. They are proof that our God is so great he can use country music to his glory. I hope that our God proves to you that he is so great that he can even use rock and rap music to His glory.
You are about the only person I have seen arguing against using rock or pop music that doesn't come off like a raving lunatic. I give you credit for that. Still you go on your own opinion again and again in your debate. The Bible to says to use loud clashing cymbals to praise. We can use exciting music to praise the Lord. Our God is so great he can even use country music for his glory.

@TristanandIsolt I used to go to a church that used loud clashing symbols in the music but it was done approiately and in taste that did not distract from the worship. I know God can "use" any music technically but is it something that he delights in? God "uses" the devil, but that does not, by proxy make it something that he delights in "using". I have sound doctrine listed as some good music and a sample of their songs under the music catagory, some think it's country-like, listen and see.
