I have used ubuntu as the virtual OS and as the OS of the victim. The video shows grabbing of the GX cookie, its editing and its use to hack into the mailbox of the victim.

You need Cookie editor to perform the cookie editing. Search it on google, it is available as add-on.

Now, this thing hack can be carried on a WLAN as well as LAN.

In case, of LAN you would need to do ARP poisoning in order to sniff the traffic between the victim and the gateway.

You need not do ARP poisoning on WLAN.
